The power of transformation or "changing your mind" about yourself is the ability to invent new domains of being, new contexts from which to be. You create by bringing into being distinctions that did not exist before-you do that by languaging it. Mastery is bringing into being. Mastery is getting rid of what's in the atmosphere by embracing it. The moment you stop granting being or allowing you close off the domain of creation. Throw your arms about what you're avoiding being. Reality is a function of interpretation. Reality is totally moldable. We are reality creators. Take responsibility for it. "When you take the character over and use the character, you wreck the fabric of the play, but you can be in control of the character without taking the character over. When the character uses you, that's when you're really cooking. You know you're in complete control, yet you get the feeling you didn't do it. You have the beautiful feeling that you can't ruin it. You feel as if you were tagging along on an exciting journey. You don't completely understand it, and you don't have to. You're just grateful and curious." Geraldine Page In service you do what works for who you serve not what works for you. The emergence of possibility is at the origin of despair. Three choices are open: 1- Not conscious of having a self 2- Not willing to be or express oneself. 3- Willing to be and express oneself: waking up in the gap. Context is revealed by breakdowns. Problems are sleeping solutions. The way you inspire is by being inspired. We suppress people by not allowing them to contribute and by cutting off our listening. Empowerment is a function of listening. Accomplishment is allowance. If you're threatened by big, accomplished and successful people it is because they show up as a threat to you instead of a contribution. We're as big as we can appreciate big. Appreciation is a distinction of acknowledgment. Give up the resistance to acknowledging people. Authenticity is not so much saying what you feel or dramatizing but rather having the power to create now, in this moment. Results don't care about you. Failure only means you did not do the intended results. Did the results get produced is different than "was I empowered?" Keep your attention on the deed versus psychological assessments. Doer versus deed. You must "become" the deed not "do" the deed. The deed is not to clean toilet but clean toilet, bought house, clean dishes. Where am I resigned to no possibility? Sometimes being a human being is wanting to flee from our own humanity at all costs. We don't want to be sleazy, powerless, controlling, repressed, disgusting, manipulative and weak people pleasers. What you're not loving about yourself is what keeps you stuck: the lack of ownership and granting being to. All of it is useful in self-expression. Using yourself fully is to bring up the whole package to the surface. Life is a series of breakdowns. Leaders are clear about what is so. Mastery is mastering breakdowns. Breakthroughs happen out of a vision, a stand and self-expression. You always have a stand. When there's no money in your life, you have a stand for no money. A good student finds out where the teacher is looking from. We make ourselves unapproachable so people don't say bad things about us. Stability: Hang in there, build up surplus, strengthen, standardize, plan, procedures, empower people, stabilize, platform for breakthrough. You'll most likely fail if you take credit for what you did. Because you then have to protect your image of success and become that identity, that act. Give yourself permission to take stands. You get stopped when you stop embracing what stops you. Enrollment is a way of expanding. It's not getting people into something but rather include them in it. Enrollment is empowering people. If you're not enrolled you're cut off. Problems live in language: "It shouldn't be." To give up finding something wrong with things? What would it take to give up your island of mediocrity? Commitment allows for breakdowns. Enrollment is a choice. Asking is the substance of enrollment. A - ASK S - SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND K - KNOCK AND THE DOOR SHALL OPEN |
