Jody Cosgrove Born in tropical Kailua on Oahu, Hawaii to an immigrant Chinese mother and Boston Irish father, Jody lived an easy-going stress-free Hawaiian childhood. The flame was fanned, however, for the performing arts early on with ukulele lessons, ballet, jazz and hula dance. While competitive golf kept Jody focused and less distracted by interests like boys and guava fights, body surfing or catching rays at Lanikai Beach, Jody juggled time with dramatic and humorous speech competitions through most of high school. An avid film and stage
buff, Jody set her sights on the entertainment world. While attending
Pepperdine University, she studied television production, often directing
fellow students in projects. Post college, a more intense dive into
acting continued in Los Angeles. Jody began studying with coach Eric
Stone in October of 2000. Alongside Eric’s curriculum and scene
study classes, Jody has performed in a variety of student and independent
films and videos and began her own creative production company, "Lair
9 Entertainment.” |
