What is the teaching and Eric Stone specifically as a teacher
have done for you to contribute to your growth as an actor, as an artist and as a human being?
Through EricŠs classes I have gotten a totally different look at acting. He has showed me the good and bad consequences about approaching this form of art. I used to look at acting through the whole idea of Hollywood and now I see it as way of people expressing their believes and ideas.
I have learned many very important things through this process.
How has your life changed as a result of the teaching?
One that has changed my everyday life and my approach to acting
is, that we are all transparent channels of creativity. Through
those channels we can contribute our true selves and our true talents.
And through those channels we can also communicate the things that
we have to say on this earth. The second thing that has hit home
very strongly for me personally is that I need to be truthful to
myself and others. Since I started this class my life has changed
drastically, I have stopped wasting my time on things that are not
needed, to be able to accomplish my dreams. I have also stopped
wasting my energy with people that only bring me negative energy
into my life; and that donŠt bring any possibilities for my happiness.
I have also been able to find was needed, wanted and missing in
my life. By finding those things, I have been able to take those
actions and make my everyday life a lot happier; and happiness is
something that I want. I have also realized that a big thing that
I need in my life is clarity, and to get that I have to take actions
that will make that need fulfilled.
Could you describe to a newcomer what the experience of being a student of Eric Stone is is like
In this class, everyone is at a different level, but everyone learns
from each otherŠs own lifestyles and experiences. This type of bond
is a major part of how the class works. It gives us all the ability
to share our individual ideas and come up with new more important
ways of taking on everyday activities. Eric believes in us and helps
us discover things that we need, to follow our dreams. |
