How long you've been a student? Current student since November 2002
I find him gifted with a lot of insight into his
students as well as the approach he uses with his
students.
He has allowed me to become more focused as to what I
want and how I will achieve what I want.
I became involved in his class by what one might call
coincidence. Others might call it pre-ordained. His
method of teaching is unique in that his attempt is to
direct each of us towards realizing what acting is
supposed to be and what it is not supposed to be.
Acting is an organic, living experience, by which a
character is brought to life by creating an
atmosphere. If this is done correctly the actor
would become believable as the character not the
actor. Needless to say I am striving I have not
achieved this degree of credibility yet. Notice I
said, yet. I am learning to shed what I accepted to
be acting and redress myself in a new mantle. It is
my challenge, and it is achievable with Eric¡s methods
of teaching.
My accomplishments are my inching my way towards the
credible actor. I cannot wait until those inches turn
in to feet. Then the real fun will begin!
Becoming a student of Eric¡s requires an open mind and
a tough unabashed individual who believes in going
above mediorcrity in this art. It is fun, it is
challenging and it is rewarding. Be ready to do
things that you might have never thought had anything
to do with acting, but really really does.
